Following the philosopher Henri Lefebvre, I am interested in the curiosities and surprises in the ‘everyday’—in the mundane, the habitualised, the domestic. This series consists of scenes and objects that form the backdrop to my everyday life. Despite them usually fading into the background of my conscious awareness, there are moments when these things grab my attention, and lose their familiarity. In these moments, these scenes and objects take on a new aspect and significance.
